1. How are placement opportunities created in Grameenphone?

2. Where would I find job advertisements or vacancy announcements for Grameenphone?

3. What are the criteria for being called for an interview?

HR advertises job vacancies internally and externally as per specifications and requirements of the position. The criteria of the position are specifically mentioned on the advertisement through the following:

Academic Qualifications
Experience Requirements (where applicable)
Additional Skill Requirements

You should pay special attention to these mentioned criteria to evaluate your fit for that position.

4. What do you look for in a candidate in an interview?

Please remember that Grameenphone hires the best “fit”. Along with specific job-related competences, experience (as applicable), and other skills, we look for a person who would fit Grameenphone’s vision, values, and leadership expectations. In other words, we not only hire your skills but also you as a person. Therefore your personality should match our culture and team environment.

5. I have applied to many positions in the past one year, why am I not being called for assessment?

We sincerely appreciate your interest to join our team; but the fact is in most cases the number of applications greatly outnumbers the number of available positions. As we do several levels of screening before calling someone for an interview, most candidates do not make it through this level. To increase your chances we recommend applying only to positions that fit your qualifications and aspirations.

However, with the help of our new system, we will try to notify you about your status for a latest position that you may have applied.


6. I have joined as a part-time / contractual employee. What are my career options?

Grameenphone hires part-time and contractual employees under its non-regular employment category. it is by no means guaranteed that such job will lead to a permanent position/employment at Grameenphone. To get a permanent job/employment, an individual will have to apply online to a suitable job and go through the same process of hiring as is practiced in regular resourcing process.

7. I am interested in an internship / industrial attachment. What is the process?

Ideally, we suggest students looking for such opportunities to apply through their department/faculty. Departments are requested to send CVs directly in an enclosed envelope to the department of Resourcing and Employer Branding, 2nd floor, Building #2, Road #113/A, Gulshan 2, Dhaka. Individual requests will follow the same procedure preferably accompanied by a letter from the university mentioning the applicant’s eligibility for internship / attachment.
